Important: Made-to-Order Products

All items at World Wide Whale are custom printed-on-demand specifically for you after you place your order. This made-to-order approach helps us reduce waste and offer unique designs. Because of this, we have a specific return policy outlined below.

Returns We Accept

We stand behind the quality of our products. We accept returns and offer refunds or replacements for:

  • Defective items - printing defects, misprints, fading, or incorrect colors
  • Damaged items - items damaged during production or shipping
  • Wrong items - if you received the wrong size, design, or color than what you ordered
  • Quality issues - poor print quality or manufacturing defects

Returns We Cannot Accept

Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect size selected by the customer
  • General dislike of the design or color (as accurately shown in product images)
  • Minor color variations due to different screen displays
  • Slight variations in print placement (inherent to the print-on-demand process)

How to Start a Return

If you believe your item qualifies for a return based on the criteria above, please contact us within 30 days of delivery:

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos showing the defect, damage, or error
  • Description of the issue

Our team will review your request within 2-3 business days and let you know if your return is approved.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately at wwidewhale@gmail.com so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Items must be:

  • Unwashed and unworn (except to verify the defect)
  • Reported within 30 days of delivery
  • Accompanied by photos of the issue

Return Process

If your return is accepted:

  1. We will send you instructions on next steps
  2. For defective or wrong items, we cover return shipping costs
  3. You'll receive either a replacement item or full refund
  4. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you received a defective or wrong item, we will provide a refund or replacement. For sizing concerns on non-defective items, we recommend consulting our size charts before ordering.

To avoid sizing issues, please:

  • Measure yourself and compare to our measurements

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item (if return shipping was required), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at wwidewhale@gmail.com.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Lost Packages: If tracking shows your package as delivered but you haven't received it, please contact us within 7 days. We'll investigate with the shipping carrier.

Damaged Packaging: If your package arrives damaged, photograph the packaging and item immediately and contact us. We'll work to resolve the issue quickly.
